National Remote Sensing Centre is executing a major national
project entitled "National Database for Emergency
Management (NDEM)" with multi-institutional participation.
he project involves development of decision support tools and
ganization of multi-scale national database.
Applications are invited for the following positions on temporary
basis for a maximum period of three years from the eligible candidates:
1 Research Scientist (PB-3 Rs.15600- 39100 +GP Rs.5400/-)
System, Network & Security Administrators
Vacancies - 2
Qualification - B.E./ B.Tech(CSE/ ECE)
Candidates with experience in Systems hardware &
OS/LAN/ WAN/Network storage/ Backup/
Security/Middleware will be preferred. Knowledge & experience
in databases, object oriented programming, GIS is added advantage.
2 Research Scientist (PB-3 Rs.15600- 39100 +GP Rs.5400/-)
Database Administrator
Vacancies - 1
Qualification - B.E./ B.Tech(CSE/ ECE)
Candidates with experience in Database design/Database
administration /Enterprise databases/Spatial databases/ Database
security will be preferred. Knowledge & experience in system,
network & security administration, object oriented programming,
GIS is added advantage.
3 Research Scientist (PB-3 Rs.15600- 39100 +GP Rs.5400/-)
GIS Administrator.
Vacancies - 1
Qualification - B.E./ B.Tech(CSE) Candidates with experience in Desktop &
Server GIS/ Geospatial database schema design & Implementation/
GIS data security will be preferred. Knowledge & experience in
various GIS API programming, object oriented technologies,
free/open source GIS products is added advantage.
4 Research Scientist (PB-3 Rs.15600- 39100 +GP Rs.5400/-)
GIS & Software Engineer for DSS Development
Vacancies - 6
Qualification - B.E./ B.Tech(CSE)
Candidates with experience in Software development using
OO languages /J2EE/MS.Net/GIS database design/Clientserver &
web architectures will be
preferred. Knowledge & Experience in RDBMS, UML, XML,
Arc Objects and free/open source GIS products is added advantage
Age Limit:
35 years as on 29.07.2011. (40 years in case of SC/ST candidates
and 38 years for OBC candidates). Ex-serviceman and Persons with
Disabilities are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India
orders. For PWD persons, orders on reservation to the extent
applicable will be extended for the above posts.
Pay & Allowances:
Selected candidates will be offered the fellowship as Research Scientist
in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100/- with grade pay of Rs.5400/-.
The gross emoluments in the minimum of pay band will at present be
approximately Rs.31,710/-. In addition HRA at the prescribed rates
in force at the place of posting will be paid.
